As the Clic is a compact stroller, don’t expect the big meaty wheels of the traditional Silver Cross counterparts.

When your baby starts to look like they are outgrowing the insert we would recommend to start removing it in stages. Unlike Clic, Jet can be used with the Silver Cross Dream infant carrier to transform it into a travel system.The five new colours – Sage, Roebuck, Magnet, Almond and Space – are all crafted using an anti-crease sustainable jersey fabric woven with yarn crafted from recycled plastic bottles. To adjust it, loosen the harness, open the cover at the back of the seat and fold the black lever toward you, then lift to the desired position. I think for babies who can sit up through to toddler age, the stroller would definitely have sufficient support. On an average day at the pool, we managed to fit my daughter's swimming things, a change of nappies, her towel and a change of clothes, but that was about it. Grab the handle and safety latch with one hand and a downward push sees it fold into a neat little package. As the Dream infant carrier is approved to Regulation 129, it also has the i-Size height limit of 85cm, therefore the baby will outgrow the seat at either 13kg or 85cm (whichever comes first). Perhaps the biggest compliment I can give the Clic is that our far pricier (and far bulkier) travel system hasn’t come out of the cupboard since it arrived, because the smaller buggy does exactly what we need it to in a far more compact package.

With an integrated pull-out shoulder strap, Clic’s also easy to carry when your little one’s ready to get out and explore. The recline function worked fine with Adelaide in it, but it was a little clunky and jolted her upright, rather than a smooth transition. Our Dream i-Size and Simplicity Plus infant carriers do, however, offer this option and are compatible with Silver Cross prams and strollers.

In any case, at 6ft 4in I didn’t find it too low and my 5ft 8in wife found it comfortable enough, too. The compact folding carrycot is a smaller option, perfect for parents with limited storage space, and comes with a handy travel bag. The Clic also has a peephole window and vent at the back, which comes with a handy magnetic strip, allowing you to quietly check on your baby whilst they nap. The stroller also comes with a pop-out strap, allowing you to carry it over your shoulder when folded. Both Dune and Reef are compatible with the First Bed Folding Carrycot and Newborn Pod, but Dune has an additional newborn option – the Compact Folding Carrycot.

This soft padded footmuff is ultra-light for comfort, while the quilted fabrics are water resistant, keeping your little one warm and cosy. The Clic is advertised as being suitable from birth to 22kg (approx 4 years of age) but I personally wouldn’t have felt comfortable using it until my baby had good head control (around the 3-month mark), or when she was old enough to enjoy being propped a bit more upright.
