Description

For the sleeping surface, the camp bed features a 100% CamoVision 600D polyester shell for long-lasting durability. It's a breeze to inflate – it'll do much of the work itself, but to get things nice and firm, you can use its stuff sack as an additional inflation tool – and a clever three-way valve makes the entire business of inflating, deflating and packing it away when you're done fabulously straightforward.

Love our Megamats but, they do take up space and I'm never sure how to pack them in the car, just kind of roll around on top of other stuff. The bed is the ideal height to provide insulation from the cold and damp ground, as well as protect you from any creepy crawlies that may be around: animals that are generally harmless but which can be a source of unpleasant, night-time disturbances. The Quechua Ultim Comfort is a sterling choice that provides excellent comfort while being effortless to set up and fold down. Often it won't make much difference but it's better to know the exact weight your camp bed will need to withstand so as to avoid any unpleasant surprises. Unfortunately, this means that the setup time can be a little longer, but it can be worth it if you’ve got car space to shift your gear around.

For anyone who’s not a fan of the great outdoors, this camping bed should make you feel more at home.

To enjoy a great nights sleep, you'll need to make sure that you know the size of bed to keep you comfortable, but you'll want to ensure that the bed will fit inside the dimensions of your tent, and that there's still enough room to move around once it's inflated or erected.A bit too heavy for wild camping but for car camping , camping on camp sites , festivals it's definitely worth taking with you.

This requires four D-type batteries to operate and works very well and quickly, reaching maximum inflation in a minute or so. It's not for carrying yourself while out hiking, trekking or backpacking - it is just too much additional weight. The Decathlon inflatable bed base is often recommended on camping forums, and after finally getting to try some out for ourselves, we can understand why.

The folding bed parts can also be kept in the carry sack provided at the time of purchase, which is nice and compact (or at least less bulky than a fold-up bed). The Posados does not require any assembly at the campsite at all which is a real selling point in our view – it folds up in a similar manner to most camping chairs and simply stretches out, legs and all. These attach on each side of the bed and act as night-time tables to put a lamp, a drink or your book on. Although you now know how to choose a camp bed, you will need certain accessories to ensure you're optimally equipped for your camping holidays.
