The JBL is better for music, as it has a better low-frequency extension, so it brings out more rumble in the bass. reads like a great feature, its primary benefit is power efficiency, hence the extended playtime of the Clip 4 compared to the Clip 3. Waterproof, dustproof, and up to 10 hours of playtime, it's rugged enough to tag along wherever you explore. It’s great for picnics or use while cooking, or bath time listening, and I find its less bassy tone avoids the boomy reverberation that often happens in tiled rooms. It can also get louder and can last over 14 hours on a single charge, though this can depend on your usage.Whether it’s a day at the beach or a nice bubble bath, it’s good to know that the Clip 4 will survive whatever you throw at it.

Otherwise, the Clip 4 comes out on top, as it should: it gets quite a bit louder than the Clip 3, has a sturdier design, and features a greater dust and water resistance rating (IP67 compared to IPX7).
