About this deal

It may sound complicated, but it's not. It's delicious and twisty and I was totally wrong in my assumptions.

This is an engrossing tale that is full of suspense, with a twist or two that will leave you doubting all the characters because you know someone is hiding something. I am happy to say that this book gets a 5-star rating from me. Her mother decided that their family was going to do even better, so the writer was signed up to take elocution lessons, ballet, piano, and went to private school. Her brother was also encouraged to do the same.It did take me a little to get into the book because there are a lot of characters and they are interrelated- Fliss used to be married to Neil, and now Neil is married to Estelle, but he is also Jeannie's landscaper, etc. Once you get this all straight, the book will be more enjoyable. I also couldn't really decide Andee's deal- it wasn't clear to me whether she was still on the police force or not. Beyond that, the story itself was sound and the ending was a suprise, especially as I pride myself in figuring out the twists early on :) I liked the end too, where it went a little furhter into the future so you know how things were resolved, but still left a couple lingering questions to think about after you finish reading. One thing I didn't really like was the constant references to the COVID pandemic- kudos to the author for writing it in at all when many others are leaving it out, but the constant references to mask-wearing and social distancing got really repetitve for me. Susan Lewis has a gift for telling warm family stories that also take you by surprise’ Jane Corry‘A gripping read’ Bella - The characters were awesome. Who could not love Fliss (Felicity)? This woman added so much to the story and when her past is revealed, your heart just breaks for her. Her story highlights how easily one decision can affect the rest of your life. The sacrifice she made left me in awe. I doubt I could ever be that selfless. I enjoyed that she found some happiness in the end. An intriguing read that drew me in from the very beginning. It combines heartfelt family drama with a gripping plot. The characters are expertly drawn … Susan has done a brilliant job of weaving her research seamlessly into the novel” - Julie Corbin This is one story that should never be told, and Marina is so desperate she will do anything to stop it getting out.

Rich, seamless and masterful storytelling with so many ‘oh my god’ twisty moments… Absolute genius. I was totally gripped’ Rebecca Thornton - Susan Lewis is an author I’ve counted on for a good read. Reaching for one of her books, I know I am guaranteed an entertaining escape. Yes, I am a fan! Who’s Lying Now, provided just that. This book is not just a suspenseful thriller, the author manages to add an emotional touch with a look at the effects of social distancing regulations imposed during the COVID pandemic.Cara Jones was a trainee investigator only 24 years old with multiple diplomas & 3 A levels so a bright girl. DS Natalie Rundle gave Cara the job on looking into the mysterious disappearance of Jeannie Symons, her husband Guy looked high & low until he couldn’t work out why she would just disappear? This author was constantly brushing elbows with stars. She was neighbors with George Clooney and had even had Nicolas Cage over to her house. She saw Steve Martin while walking her dog. She had a number of romances, while some dreams ended up being destined to come true while still others ended up being hopelessly crushed. This was a gripping tale that kept me second-guessing everyone. When I convinced myself I knew where the story was going, a new piece of information revealed I might be wrong, keeping me guessing all the time. I was completely lost in this book; I loved every second from start to finish. Oh what a tangled tale, my suspicions moved from character to character as I read the book. A fantastic read’ Reader review, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This was a good book that kept me guessing throughout. It centers on the disappearance of a how powered executive named Jeannie and the investigation into it. Some chapters are leading up to the disappearance and told from various POVs from Jeannie herself to neighbors and friends, and other chapters focus on the police detective trying to find out what happened.

Sometimes life can change from how it is to something else in the blink of an eye. A second is all that it takes. Sophie Monroe is 14 years old when she goes missing one night. The first assumption is that the teen has run away, however, her phone and computer have disappeared and she’s taken clothes with her. The glamorous life of the yachts and French living was wonderful, and there were plenty of interesting people to speak with. It all returned once summer arrived, but there were many months that stretched in between them. It was all too much to bear and the artist decided to return to the sunny state of California. I could not put this book down. It had me hooked from start to finish with a great storyline and many twists and turns along the way. What a rollercoaster!’ Reader review, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lewis was born in the United Kingdom on January 1, 1956 in Bristol. Her father was Welsh and was employed as a miner. In addition, he was an engineer, a poet, and thinker. From then on she just had more fun, going on dates and attending glam parties and movie screenings.

The characters are well constructed, the plot absorbing and twisty. Susan Lewis had me looking in completely the wrong direction for the resolution. MY THOUGHTS: Have you ever seen a nest of snakes all wrapped around one another, constantly writhing, so that you're never quite sure where one snake ends and another begins? That's what the characters of this book remind me of. They are all interconnected, their relationships so tangled, just like the snakes. It was happiness in totality for the first season of summer that she was there. Then quite a lot went on, including a love affair with an individual that ended up being one of the most wanted by the FBI. The pound also decided to lose value and the author realized that full time living in France did have its differences to a vacation for two weeks on holiday on a yacht on the Riviera.Wow this book is amazing.
