Description

Uncurable is a hard word to accept, but fortunately my “affliction” is treatable, so after having treatment, I was kind of a mess and in need of help and a place to exercise. There is some good advice in the book and no purported miracle cures, just old fashioned hard work and tenacity.

As a woman, who's getting older, I was excited at the thought of a program that focused on the changing needs of the older gal. Please note that some countries may charge the recipient duties on the 'import' of parcels from time-to-time. As I said in my book “Flex Your Age”, building up a vibrant community of like minded people all sharing similar goals is a key part of success. But with the help of her daughter, Michelle, and The Wonder Women community, Joan was able to do much more than change her journeyshe was able to help others on theirs. If you're a woman of a certain age who is looking to stop or reverse the aging process, this book is a great start.

Showing pictures of the end product, of you all fit and happy on a bicycle is doing the exact opposite what you’re telling people to do in the book. There's a big focus on the lived experience of the author and those profiled in the book, which had me feeling like I was reading / reviewing a coffee table book of someone's really healthy, older mom, doing all sorts of active things. Some terminology that may be used in this description includes: Remainder Mark Usually an ink marking of some sort which indicates that the book was designated a remainder. But in this book that's part self-help and part memoir, you'll learn how Joan made her miraculous transformation as well as how Michelle helped her mother on that journey. By the time the pandemic hit I’d lost 40 pounds, was training for my second half marathon, and was running about 25 miles a week. There's nothing inherently 'bad' about the book, but I don't feel it serves the market it's trying to connect with.

But, what I found was the same old suggestions, based on data compiled more than 100 years ago, on young men. I bought this book being in my early seventies and although pretty good for my age any help with exercises and dietary advice would be most welcome.

But for those that aren't, all we need sometimes is advice about how to make specific, sustainable, and successful decisions that can alter the course of how our lives go from that point forward. I read this book to see if it is something I would give to a friend who perhaps needed encouragement that she could improve her fitness and create a healthy lifestyle. Honestly this reads primarily as an infomercial for their Instagrams and for Joan’s app and Michelle’s coaching business. Together, we are going to follow Joan’s lead, inspire and encourage each other, and give each other a loving kick in the ass when needed, followed by a loving hug. Everyone else sits at lvl two making it harder for the new comers to get there as well when jobs won’t show up and most of the blocks are given to the people who can pick a schedule.

Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. The book does have some interesting tidbits and some motivational perspective, but it definitely doesn’t make me want to follow a program that is so incredibly rigid and intensive. This is a social game, don't be toxic and don't actually flex (too much); people just want to hangout and talk, please respect others and don't break ToS. It’s almost impossible to get blocks when they are also being offered 10mins before the start time of the block…you will need to watch the app for hours at a time before you will have a block show up. Personally, I think this book was a way to get people to become interested in the ideas and concepts so they would sign up for the subscription and pay for her app to train WITH Joan.
